Dirtwoman would like the city of Richmond to know that contrary to what a certain blogger reported yesterday, he's still in the race...but as a write-in candidate!
Just after 9AM this morning, Dirtwoman told Elliot that his campaign manager lied to him about the amount of signatures he had obtained. Instead of the 500 required signatures, with 50 from all nine districts, Dirtwoman only had 400 signatures from four districts, making him ineligible to file papers for an official mayoral candidacy.
On the upside, Dirtwoman did get an ID card and registered to vote in the process, but he said he's "not voting for any of them!" That also includes "Bama"!?
He added, that he's tired of the women of Richmond crying rape, saying, "If they don't want it, stop it up!" Way to get those votes!
Update:
Parker, the managing editor of RVA Magazine and Dirtwoman's campaign manager has responded by saying, "No one lied to Donnie. Since he can barely walk a few of us took time out of our schedules to collect names for him. Unfortunately, we came up short in our efforts. Looking through the names at the end some of them weren't going to be counted as the writing was eligible or they left out the full information that was needed."
