A discussion on EITM Thursday about a North Point High School teacher whose student told Elliot that she found inappropriate photos of her teacher on a classroom computer, has prompted the school to investigate. The story made headlines Friday when The Independent published a story about the investigation.
The 16-year-old North Point student called Elliot Friday morning saying she was returning to class and didn't want her teacher to be mad at her. She said she had been advised not comment on the photos until the investigation is complete.
Her friend, who also saw the photos, called Elliot saying that he had been advised not to comment as well. The teacher's brother-in-law called to say that the students were lying about the content of the photos, even though he hadn't seen them for himself.
Katie O'Malley-Simpson, the spokeswoman for Charles County public schools, called Elliot only to say that the administration is investigating the matter.
