Crash Fired From The X!

Another one bites the dust over at Clear Channel, this time in Richmond...

Fresh back from vacation, afternoon guy, Crash Young, was handed his walking papers on Monday.

Elliot made mention of it on Tuesday's show...

Crash now joins the ranks of other recently fired Clear Channel employees, Dave Wellington and Jon Ballard. *Cue Monkey Wrench*

Premiere Radio's "Sixx Sense with Nikki Sixx" (which is horrible) has been added to nights at The X. They are also searching for their next afternoon Deejay. Here's the job posting in case you're interested:
Position Available — Afternoons in Richmond

102.1 The X – Richmond’s Rock Station has a rare opening for pm drive.

The X is already a highly rated rock station and we’re looking someone who can rule afternoons, the streets and social networking. Yeah, we want someone who can do it all and LOVES it! Do you have a passion for music and pop culture? How about a history of ratings success? Are you web savvy? Do you love meeting listeners? Do your listeners love you? Do your co-workers love you? Do clients love you? We’re not looking for the stereotypical rock jock. We’re looking for an entertainer who can connect with 18-44 years old in the confines of a music intensive afternoon drive show. This position is live and local and will be heavy on appearances and endorsements.

This is not a job for beginners so candidates must have at least 2 years previous experience in a contemporary music format. (rock, alternative, CHR)

If this is you, send your resume and aircheck to afternoonsonthex@aol.com for this prime opening at one of the country’s premiere rock stations in one of the coolest cities on the east coast.

Clear Channel Broadcasting, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
No word on what Crash's plans are next. In the meantime, you can find him on Facebook and Twitter.

Good luck Crash!
