The Alternate Routes on EITM!

The Alternate Routes joined Elliot in-studio this morning...

They're from Bridgeport, Connecticut, where lead singer, Tim Warren and guitarist, Eric Donnelly met back in 2002 while attending Fairfield University. Tim would like everyone to know that he graduated in three years. By 2005, they recorded their debut album entitled Good and Reckless and True in Nashville.

Tim Warren's laryngitis prevented the band from performing in-studio this morning. Thankfully, EITM was their last stop before heading home. Their bassist, Chip Johnson, is a resident of Virginia who lives in Gainesville. He's a 2001 graduate of Chantilly High School and has attended DC101's Chili Cook-Off several times in the past...could he be on the bill one day?

Before heading back home, the band performed an acoustic version of "I Won't Back Down" by Tom Petty, something we've heard Ben Kweller perform live in-studio in the past.

In case you were keeping track, Elliot opened up the segment with their current single, "The Future's Nothing New." He also played, "A Sucker's Dream" and "All That I Can See" from their second album, A Sucker's Dream which is available online and in stores now.
