EITM First To Hear About Arrests!

Elliot seems to get the first scoop on Richmond crime cases (think Sam Moore). This time, Elliot was tipped off by a caller who said several people had been arrested in connection with the June 24th shooting death of Powhatan High School student Tahliek Taliaferro.

The three original suspects, Joey Parrish, 17, Ethan Parrish, 24, and Stephanie Reynolds, 19, have been charged with First Degree Murder as well as additional crimes after surrendered to police after spending a week on the run immediately following the shooting.

The caller identified herself as Ethan Parrish’s brother's girlfriend and said that one of the people arrested was her best friend.

Later in the day, it was confirmed that five people have been taken into custody in Powhatan County, accused of aiding and assisting the main suspects in the shooting death of Tahliek Taliaferro.

Deputies arrested Bennett B. Davis, 19, Brad L. Harris, 34, David T. Franklin, 22, Randall C. Powers, 48, and Brenda F. Powers, 44.

Along with being charged with aiding the suspects, they also face charges of destroying, altering, and concealing physical evidence.
