Just as we squashed the rumor that Elizabeth Taylor had been murdered, the internets were buzzing over the weekend that legendary country star, Dolly Parton had died of congestive heart failure. In an article on FOXNews.com, David Dotson, president of the Dollywood Foundation in Tennessee, said that the rumor was false and Parton is "alive and well."
Dolly has been a victim of similar rumors in the past, the article said. "There was something a couple of years ago — I think it started on the Web. Seems to be plenty of rumor-mongers out there," Dotson said.
I wonder who started that rumor a couple of years ago?
Oh yes...I think I remember!
Nevertheless, Dolly Parton is indeed ALIVE and will be resuming her Backwoods Barbie tour in Orlando, Florida on October 18th!
