Elliot took time Friday to apologize to 102.1 The X for calling them Thursday morning to find out why they were still promoting their studio sponsor, Club Velvet. He said he felt bad because it may have come across like he was blaming them for something. According to Elliot, everything is in the hands of "San Antonio", (i.e. Clear Channel's corporate office). They told The X that they will look into it. However, the station is still waiting to hear back, and in the meantime have left things the way they were.
Elliot said The X is concerned about the situation and they do agree that it is not a good thing to be affiliated with the club at this time. Nevertheless, when things clear up, they will be glad to welcome Club Velvet as a sponsor again.
Oh, and apparently The X is the current laughing stock among Richmond radio stations. Anyone work in Richmond radio?
