Picture It...Flounder's in mourning this afternoon (and so am I), after learning the sad news that Estelle Getty, the woman who played Sophia Petrillo, the feisty 80-something mother of Bea Arthur's character, Dorothy, on "The Golden Girls," has died.
Getty, who suffered from advanced dementia, died at about 5:30AM Tuesday morning at her Hollywood Boulevard home, surrounded by family and caregivers. She was 84.
