New Elliot In The Morning Website!

Clear Channel has launched a new website for Elliot in the Morning...

You'll recall, back in July, EITMonline was revamped into a Twitter/Facebook/YouTube feed. At that time, I voiced my displeasure and many of you agreed. Now, it appears that the original, more familiar website, has been abandoned for a new one called EITMshow.com.

It was introduced by Tyler on Facebook...
"I'll be honest, earlier this year, when the company said I had to "kill" EITMonline.com, I was pissed. I was also a little worried that this new "high priority" site (due in August) was going to steer people away from what we could still control, e.g., Facebook and Twitter. Now, four months later, I am no longer pissed and I am no longer worried. Actually, I am happy -- deliriously, in fact -- to introduce... this."
Tyler also tweeted, "Apparently, this, the latest and greatest from Clear Channel, wasn't supposed to go live until Tuesday."

The new website is what I would expect. It's not too in-depth or blog-like, but it gives you some extras. It still utilizes Facebook and Twitter, but everything is now in one place. There are photo galleries, an events page, and a section for the playlist and Diane's Dirt.

There is also an interviews section, which I've missed immensely. Several select interviews are now available without the use of YouTube. But don't get too excited -- gone are the days of streamlined .mp3 audio files used on EITM websites in the past. You will now have to watch an advertisement before listening to interviews embedded in the DC101 Media Player. It's unclear if this will now be the new way EITM provides all of their interviews. Update: Both, YouTube and the media player will be used.

There are also a couple of ads on the website, one is a vodka ad featuring Bruce Willis and another is for Kotex. Hi Diane!

Overall, I like EITMshow.com! It makes it easier to keep up with the show by putting everything in one place. Of course, I'd rather have downloadable .mp3 interviews or even YouTube interviews over a media player any day, but I'm done singing that tune. Good job Elliot Clear Channel!

Update:
EITMonline.com is officially dead. The page now automatically directs you to the EITM Facebook page. R.I.P.
