Chris Cooley's Weekly Call 10/27/09!

Elliot spoke with Chris Cooley Tuesday morning after he broke his ankle in the second quarter of Monday night's game. On top of that, the Redskins lost to the Eagles in a 27-17 defeat. No surprise...



Chris was prescribed Vicodin for pain during his injury. "I'm honestly in disbelief that I'm hurt right now," he told Elliot. "I want to play with the guys and I want to be back out there with my team."

After he left the field, his family joined him in the locker room to watch the rest of the game while his ankle was being treated. Chris said he would be exploring further treatment options later in the day.

"It could definitely be worse, it's not life threatening," he said.

Chris will have to put his Bi-Week vacation plans to Atlantis on hold, but joked that he could go to Africa with Elliot and The Class.

Nevertheless, Chris expects to still travel with the team. And according to a recent Twitter update, he may return in weeks:
