Hello Dubai!

As you probably already know by now, Elliot, Diane, Kyle and Tyler finally made it to Dubai. The show signed on this morning at 6:41AM with The Class coming to us live from The Desert Rock Festival already in progress. Here's what happened...

While on their layover in Amsterdam, The Class met up with Starbucks Shannon and her boyfriend Paul who showed them around the city on bicycles. They went to the Bulldog Café, but were pretty vague about what actually transpired there. Kyle wouldn't go into any of the pot stores because he didn't want a contact high. He also looked down upon the "prostitutes" in the Red Light District. Everyone ate pancakes at Pannekoeken, including Tyler whose apple honey pannekoeken upset his stomach for the rest of the trip.

Tyler got sick on the seven and a half hour flight from Amsterdam to Dubai, eventually overflowing his vomit bag. With blankets and a helping pat on the back from Kyle, he was able to dispose of his "baby of vomit" in a garbage can. He tried to clean up the mess he left in the middle seat, finally covering it with a pillow. Gross!

The Class arrived at the Dubai airport around 12AM. As Tyler put it, they finally left "the big Halloween party" at 2AM for their hotel. Kyle and Tyler are sharing a room with two beds. Lucky for Kyle, Tyler is taking full advantage of his complimentary robe with boxers underneath.

During the live show this morning, prayer time (a.k.a. 5 minutes of respect) interrupted the show twice. Flounder was manning the phones back in DC, so naturally there were a few phone issues. From a mall that boasts a giant indoor ski slope to a suspension bar above the venue, they sure seemed to be taking it all in. Elliot and Diane spoke with Killswitch Engage, Nevercell, and a former teacher from DC now teaching in Abu Dhabi. Despite a few changes to the show, Diane still did news/dirt and Elliot gave a way Cut The Line passes for Kegs & Eggs 9.

By 9:45AM the show came to a close and Tyler was still upset that Danny Noriega got the boot last night on American Idol...

P.S. - I love how in the promo today, they merged May Corker's "Do What?" and "Bye!" into "Dubai, Dubai, Dubai." Priceless!
