Chris Cooley and EITM Part Ways! (AUDIO)

After contributing during football season for nearly three years, Chris Cooley and Elliot have parted ways...

Elliot told his listeners Monday morning that Chris Cooley was offered "a ton of cash" to do weekly reports somewhere else. Though he wasn't sure if Chris accepted the offer, he said that Chris decided to stop contributing to Elliot in the Morning either way.

Elliot also said that there is no hard feelings or animosity on his part and that he didn't think there was any on Chris' either. Here's audio from Elliot's announcement Monday morning:

The arguably more famous, linebacker, captain of the defense, and defensive player of the year for the Washington Redskins, London Fletcher, will now fill in as EITM's football contributor during football season.

You can catch London on EITM every Monday morning during football season.

Click here for one last look at Chris Cooley's page before it's removed.

On Tuesday 8/31/10...Maybe...

"Monkey Wrench" by the Foo Fighters plays in the background...

This was the song that played right after Elliot was yanked off air Monday. Tyler has cryptically posted a few of the lyrics on Facebook: "Still, there's one thing that comforts me since I was always caged and now I'm free!"

On Tuesday, your last chance to win $1,000 in EITM's More Summer Cash Contest.

London Fletcher, EITM's new Washington Redskins contributor, will be on the show.

Also, expect Elliot to delve into what happened at the end of Monday's show.

EITM Yanked Off Air This Morning! (AUDIO)

Fresh back from a mini-vacation, Elliot and the Class returned to the airwaves Monday morning...but not for an entire show.

Just after 9 a.m., former DC101/Clear Channel employee, Jon Ballard, took to his Twitter page and announced that he had just been fired from Clear Channel/Washington D.C. owned WBIG-FM Big 100.3.

By 9:20 a.m., Elliot was speaking with Ballard on the air, just after he had left the building. Yes, the same building Elliot was sitting in...
Elliot: "How long is it going to take you to pack up all your stuff?"

Ballard: "I don't have to do that, that's a question for somebody else."

Elliot: (Laughs) "Do you even have any stuff?"
The next thing listeners heard was brief silence and then "Monkey Wrench" by Foo Fighters.

Tyler posted on EITM's Facebook page: "Off the air... I have no idea. UPDATE: Well, I have some..."

Tyler also posted to EITM's Twitter page: "And now we're off too..."

There's been no shortage of comments on both Facebook and Twitter from listeners speculating that this could be from the hands of DC101 Program Director, Dave Wellington, better known as, "the Babysitter" to listeners.

DC101 and 102.1 The X went back to regular programming after Elliot in the Morning was pulled off the air. A Clear Channel insider tells me that they can't discuss what happened just yet, but hopefully I'll hear something soon. No word if EITM will be back tomorrow.

UPDATE:
- A Clear Channel insider tells me management was unhappy that Elliot was talking to Jon Ballard on the air...so they pulled the show. I'm told Elliot in the Morning "should" return Tuesday morning.

- I also spoke with Jon Ballard via Twitter and he tells me that he was unaware Elliot was pulled off the air until afterwards. He tells me the phone just disconnected.

- Tyler has now posted the audio that everyone wants to hear:

EITM, Foreskin Free for 3 Years!

It's hard to believe, but this Sunday marks three years since Craig "Big Meat" Henderson quit Elliot in the Morning.

Craig, who now works for PBS, served as a producer on EITM since its inception in 1999 on DC101.

On the morning of August 15, 2007, Craig abruptly quit on-air when Elliot tried to get him to bring, Jim London, (a fellow Clear Channel employee) to the studio.

It also didn't help that Flounder was berating Craig the entire time.

Craig's famous last words can be heard at the closing of every show. See ya!

Doug McKelway...and Elliot Mentioned In Washington Post!

In an article in The Washington Post today, Doug McKelway is said to be "suspended indefinitely" after clashing with station manager, Bill Lord over comments he made last month surrounding BP's response to the gulf oil spill.

"The issue wasn't what he said in the live shot. It was what he said when he was questioned about it by Bill," said one of McKelway's colleagues. "The issue is insubordination."

The Post briefly mentions Elliot's interview with Doug:

"When asked late last month by morning radio host Elliot Segal if he had been fired, McKelway said, 'All I can say is, I got a great lawyer.'" Click here to read the entire article.

Keep fighting the fight McKelway! You understand?!

Joan the Moan Clip Returns!

The other day I noticed that a popular clip of Joan the Moan quietly disappeared from YouTube. The video had been online for three years and was taped many years before that, by her cousin.

Without getting into too much detail, I've learned that Joan's family isn't very fond of her "local celebrity" status and would much rather keep her quiet...

By my request, the video is now back online, but this time, with the following disclaimer:
This is a re-upload of this popular video.

Boris Becker and WAG Sharlely 'Lilly' Kerssenberg Holidaying in Formentera

It is now six months, she has given birth to her first child, but it appears WAG of Tennis legend Boris Becker, 34-year-old Dutch model sensation Sharlely 'Lilly' Kerssenberg is quickly regaining her curves.

Sharlely 'Lilly' Kerssenberg was spotted with her husband Boris Becker and stepchildren, 16-year-old Noah and 10-year-old Elias in the Spanish island of Formentera for a short holiday trip. The only missing family member was the couple's newly born baby son Amadeus who is presumably being cared back at home.

Noah and Elias are the first children of Boris Becker with her first wife Barbara Feltus.

Wearing a brown asymmetrical swimsuit, the model looked curvy and toned as she waded through the Mediterranean.

Caffeine-Free Flounder Unleashed on YouTube!

When EITM stopped making audio available for download in favor of posting interviews on YouTube back in June, I was a little heated. I've gotten over it now, but thanks for all of your comments.

Along with the change, EITM fans were rarely treated to any additional audio as we had been accustomed to in the past. This may have been because YouTube's upload limit was only 10-minutes. Well, hear's some good news, YouTube recently increased their video upload limit to 15-minutes, which allows longer videos.

I am pleased to see that Tyler has now posted a Wednesday morning audio clip of a caffeine-free Flounder bitching back and forth with the Class for nearly eleven minutes...

THIS is exactly the type of stuff we've been missing! Thank you to Tyler, and PLEASE keep it coming!

Collingwood Belt Carlton Black and White

Life is great for Collingwood supporters. With four rounds of the home and away season left, they are on top of the ladder and just smashed Carlton by 48 points. Carlton only managed 12 points for the first quarter and eight for the next two meaning that at three-quarter time the score stood at 80-20.

Elsewhere, Essendon defied their recent form and had a good win over St Kilda. Even though they have done well in recent times against the Saints, the Saints were still the favorites. It was hard to find a betting site that didn’t recognize this. Thus all those who wagered on Essendon found themselves receiving a very healthy payback.

Port Adelaide didn’t help Hawthorn’s chances of doing well in the finals with a eight point win while Geelong just had too many answers for the Swans who simply struggle against the better sides in the competition. Round 5 now seems a million miles away as that is when the Swans were on top of the ladder and flying high.

Melbourne are definitely the surprise packets of the competition and showing that their years being mired at the bottom of the ladder could be over. Same too for Richmond who had a 20 point win over the Crows.

For the Bulldogs, it was a far for stress-free game against North Melbourne as opposed to what happened last time when Barry Hall was tormented. Finally the Dockers smashed the Eagles in the Western Derby with a 75 point thumping.

The tables have definitely turned from the early days when the Eagles were the big brother and the Dockers couldn’t lay a glove on them. Now the Eagles have no answer for their more polished opponents.

Looking at the ladder, Collingwood have a two point lead over Geelong which makes a difference as the Cats have the superior percentage. Likewise the Saints have a two point lead over the Bulldogs and Dockers for third spot. If the Saints slide any more they could finish as low as fifth which is just unimaginable. There is a fierce tussle between the Dockers and Bulldogs for fourth spot and then there is the rest which you could say are making up the numbers.

Hawthorn was in sixth spot and 10 points behind the Dockers. Carlton, Sydney and the Kangaroos are fighting over the last two spot but in all honesty, none of them deserve it.

Stephanie Rice, Queensland Cricket, Brisbane Lions Helps 5-year-old Zachary Archer

Zachary ArcherAustralian Olympian swimmer Stephanie Rice is leading from the front for a noble cause. She is leading to help 5-year-old Zachary Archer who becomes the first Australian to receive cutting-edge cord-blood therapy in a US trial.

Five-year-old schoolboy Zachary Archer, who had suffered a stroke aged four months will travel to North Carolina’s Duke University in September for the ground-breaking treatment.

If successful, the cord-blood therapy will reduce muscle spasticity in Zachary’s right side caused by cerebral palsy and ease epileptic seizures.

Rice has donated a signed Australian tracksuit as the Archer family muster items to be pitched at a fundraiser for Zachary. Organisations such as Queensland Cricket and the Brisbane Lions, along with a variety of local businesses, including Stefan Hair and Westfield, have contributed to the school disco fundraiser at StDympna’s Primary School in Aspley on September 3.

But the medical treatment is expensive, with the Archer family not expecting to see any change from $40,000.
To donate, phone Mr Archer on 0403698866.

35-year-old Hamilton, gave birth to a boy, Koby, in August last year. The pair first met in the late 1990s at a celebrity golf day.

Dean Jones has been married to wife Jane for 24 years and has two teenage daughters, Phoebe, 19 and Isabella, 14. In a statement released to the Sunday Herald Sun, Jones pleaded for privacy after the long-term extramarital affair.

As reported from News.co.au Jones pleaded for privacy after the long-term extramarital affair.

In a statement released to the Sunday Herald Sun, Jones pleaded for privacy after the long-term extramarital affair.

"Following an on-and-off relationship with a woman, a child was conceived and subsequently delivered," Jones said.

"I can also confirm that I have supported the mother and child more generously than was agreed.

"At no stage, have I not met my obligations. My immediate aim is to seek the forgiveness and understanding of family.

"I am therefore asking that you respect our privacy."

Ms Hamilton was working as a promotions model at the time. A source said the relationship soured last year when a six-months pregnant Hamilton asked Jones for child support payments. It is believed Jones has not yet met his 11-month-old son, however, he agreed to pay child support after a positive paternity test.
